We offer design consultation for free at our 3525 Mainway location, and a consultation with a professional graphic designer should your project require one. Fulfillment & Bindery
We will fulfill all your needs from the start of a project to the completion. If you need graphic design services to put your job together, we will take your material (whether it be hand written or clippings of pages and photos) and our talented designers will produce projects such as manuals, promotional materials, or other requests to your specifications. Should it be required, we will ship your finished product boxed and packaged with the most reliable shipping companies.

We have high speed copiers that will complete your job without the inconvenience of having to go into a big commercial store that really just wants to sell you office supplies. At Astra you will get a customer service representative. Larger projects are what have made Astra one of the biggest producers of black and white and colour copies and prints in Ontario. We simply can not afford to take in your company's important documents and produce them incorrectly. We also have the best bindery equipment and production staff in the business.
Print on Demand
You may have heard of the term 'Print on Demand'. Print on Demand means we either print while you wait, or in some cases, it means we only print the quantity of material you need, such as small quantities of brochures or business cards. This eliminates the need to keep stock piles of printed material that often becomes out of date before you get around to using it. In cases where printing larger quantities makes sense, the prints can go through offset press, grouped with other material giving you the lowest cost per sheet. However, Print on Demand means you can email us a file and pick up 1 to 10,000 black and white copies or 1 to 5000 colour prints or copies that same day. If you need larger quantities in the thousands and have 5 - 10 working days to produce, we are extremely competitive to meet your needs. Print on Demand is best for projects such as business cards, post cards, flyers, brochures, and most black & white and colour manuals.
Offset Printing
Offset Printing means that a job is run on a press that is typically for running larger quantities. Often multiple jobs are run together on larger sheets of paper in order to give you a lower price per unit cost. For example, if you need to run Print on Demand for the same day you might be looking at a unit cost of 29 cents per colour output depending on quantity, but if you need 50,000 copies your job would go on an offset press with the cost of the colour prints less than 10 cents per sheet with a possible turnaround time of 4 to 10 days. Projects suitable for offset printing include letterhead, flyers, brochures and postcards to name a few.

Large Format Colour Printing
If you need beautiful colour posters, point of sale banners, or in-store displays, you can count on our highly trained colour specialists. Whether you need your posters designed by our talented graphic designers or if you already have your designs we are your one stop shop for all your large format needs. We are often able to print your pre-designed posters or banners the same day, or a larger project in 4 to 10 working days, depending on its complexity. If you are a student, and have a student card we will give you a 25% discount on most large format products. We use a HP 42" bubble jet printer for incredible quality prints on photographic paper. Our designers will give you the specs you need to have your resolution set properly and will inform you if you have jagged images so you can make the required changes before costly misprints happen. Supported formats are Quark Xpress, Coral Draw, Power Point, Photoshop and eps, tif & jpeg images. (Pdf?)
Scanning and Archiving
We can take your manuals and scan them to PDF files with our high quality Xerox copier direct to disc. If you need large format scans we can also scan technical drawings or engineering blueprints direct to disc or output them to your specifications. Our scan to disc equipment can save you money as well as keeping your important documents backed up.

Paper Purchase
At Astra, we are always prepared for larger sized orders. We buy our paper in bulk and keep it all in the shop. For orders that exceed our stock, we will order it for the next day. Buying paper in bulk at Astra is much cheaper than it would be at larger office supply stores. We are confident that you will not find our quality of paper for less. If you can find Xerox paper for cheaper, we will match your price.*
